Partnership with Hampstead, New Hampshire School System
Hamsptead Hospital is proud to work collaboratively with the Hampstead Public School System to provide opportunities to improve communication, self-esteem and collaboration among educators, parents, and students. Over the years, this collaboration has fostered the following extremely successful annual events:
Project Respect
Since 1994, Hampstead Hospital has partnered with the Hampstead Middle School to host the school's annual Project Respect Day. At Project Respect, students and parents attend workshops that address contemporary issues that face young people in today's world. The goal of Project Respect is to facilitate communication between parents and students on such issues as substance abuse, self-image, and self-respect.
Peer Mediation Training
Hampstead Hospital annually hosts Peer Mediation Training for students of the Hampstead Middle School. The students who participate in this training learn techniques of mediating issues that arise among their peer group.
In 2007, Hampstead Hospital was the proud recipient of the following award:
The Gold Circle School Partnership Award
This award was presented to Hampstead Hospital in recognition of the exemplary educational partnership and collaboration between the Hampstead Middle School and Hampstead Hospital during the 2006-2007 academic year. The presentation took place at the New Hampshire Partners in Education 2007 annual awards dinner.
