About Hampstead Hospital

Built in 1974, Hampstead Hospital was the first private psychiatric hospital licensed by the State of New Hampshire. A regionally known leader in the field of mental health treatment, we are proud to be recognized for our extremely high quality of care.

Located on 100 acres of rolling hills, woodlands and landscaped grounds, Hampstead Hospital is less than one hour from Boston, in rural southern New Hampshire.

We provide a full range of psychiatric and chemical dependency services for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly.

Included in our available services are the following levels of care:

  • Inpatient Hospitalization
  • Partial Hospitalization
  • Extended Care for Children and Adolescents
  • Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency (Quitting Time Program)

Hampstead Hospital is licensed by the State of New Hampshire and is accredited by the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations and Medicare.
